Overview

Engineers’ House is a historic and highly regarded event venue in, Bristol, blending architectural heritage with modern conferencing and meeting facilities.

 

Historic Significance:
Originally built in 1831 as Camp House for Charles Pinney, a prominent Bristol merchant and later Mayor of Bristol during the 1831 Reform Bill riots.
Designed in a neoclassical style by architect Charles Dyer, the building is Grade II-listed, reflecting its architectural and cultural importance.
Over the years, it has served various roles — from a private residence to a school — before becoming a conference, training and event venue.

Situated on The Promenade in Clifton Down (BS8 3NB), just outside Bristol’s city centre and outside the Clean Air Zone.
Excellent transport links:
• Short taxi journey from Bristol Temple Meads station (~10–12 min) and on bus route No. 8.
