Bringing people together at the heart of Birmingham to expand their knowledge, share ideas with their team, explore the city and conference with confidence since 1977.
From its origins as a purpose-built management training centre, the venue has grown and developed over almost 50 years to become one of Birmingham’s largest residential conference hotels, one of the UK’s leading Academic Venues, and securing a spot in the VenueDirectory Top 50 UK venues in 2026.
A central Birmingham conference centre and hotel venue offering 19 meeting rooms and event spaces, and conference facilities for up 220 delegates, plus a choice of hotel accommodation with over 160 bedrooms. Located on the Aston University campus, the hotel welcomes a range of organisations for a variety of events from large conferences to residential training, as well as hotel guests visiting the city for the many attractions around Birmingham and the West Midlands region.
We are committed to creatively delivering our services in the most sustainable way possible. To ensure our venue and team are always working to best practice, our sustainability efforts are reviewed by external awarding bodies to ensure our overarching goals are aligned to industry, national and international standards. Conference Aston is proud to have achieved and maintained ISO140001 accreditation since 2011 as the first academic venue to achieve this, and further added ISO50001 since 2016 for Energy Management Systems, as well as the Green Tourism Gold Award, and Three Stars from the Sustainable Restaurant Association.
